Wesley and I wrapped Brock's presents today while he was out!
Under the tree.
While I was putting Brock's presents under the tree, look what I found!
I made these for my family and wrapped them up in tins.
We just got home from my grandma's not too long ago. It's so late and Brock and I still have so much to do! Poor Wes is so tired he asked me to write his letter to Santa for him while he dictated. He's just signing his name now. Hopefully we'll get to sleep in a bit tomorrow. It's going to be a long and busy day!
Oh, and guess what my aunt got me?? A stoneware muffin pan from Pampered Chef!!! Oh my gosh, I was so excited. And I've been wanting to make pumpkin muffins for some time now, and just haven't yet! Guess what I'll be making very soon.. ;)

I spent a lot of time in the kitchen yesterday! Brock said to me at one point that he's not used to me being in there all the time and that it was kind of sexy coming to visit me in the kitchen while I was baking and cooking away, haha!
One of the things I made were these date and nut bars! I thought they sounded so good, but there is no way I'm going to make something that has so much butter and sugar in it for just us because then I will end up eating the whole pan and then I will feel bad. BUT I will certainly make it to take and share with my family tonight!
It was dreary and dark when I was making them, so the pictures aren't the best, but they are still yummy looking pictures!
It has chopped walnuts, pecans, and dates!
I had a little nibble and they are SO good.
YUM!

So busy! I feel like I never get to take pictures or post anymore! Here's a Christmas timeline update! Berry's cage is cleaned, the living room picked up and swept, dishes done, and Christmas music is playing (A Charlie Brown Christmas by Vince Guaraldi at the moment)! Next I am going to help Wes make a snowman craft, then we have some baking to do! I'm making these date and nut bars for my grandma's house tomorrow and we are going to make these chocolate almond stick things to put in tins for our families. Christmas movie/special watching, of course. Then, after Wes falls asleep, Brock and I are going to try and finish the last of the wrapping so for ONCE we don't have to worry about it Christmas morning!
I hope everyone is having a stress free holiday and getting everything they want accomplished done!

I've been needing some new slippers (I live in them in the winter) and then these ones that I have been coveting went on a super sale for only the one day that I happen to be in town! Yay!
Brock bought a bag of different nuts and a nutcracker and Wes has been LOVING it. He loves seeing what all the different nuts look and taste like and he loves trying to crack them open on his own. He has perfected his own little method of just smacking the crap out of them with the nutcracker until they break open. Ha!
